Courses Offered

The Veterinary Assistant Program, which is called “Become a Veterinary Assistant,” is a 100% online program that teaches the fundamentals of veterinary assisting.

It aims to inform students about pet health and nutrition, parasite treatment and prevention, spaying and neutering, and other facts of life pertaining to dogs and cats.

Its syllabus consists of 12 lessons and covers a wide range of subjects, including:

• History of Veterinary Practice and Dog and Cat Reproduction
• Pet First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• Medical Records and Prescription
• How to Pick the Best Food for Your Pet; Prescription Diets
• Alternative Therapies in Veterinary Medicine
• Euthanasia
• Workplace Safety and Veterinary Hospital Economics

It offers two enrollment options, Self-Paced and Instructor-Led, and each costs $135.

The full program requires 24-course hours and can be taken on a Chromebook, Mac, or PC.
