The Associate in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology Program prepares students to assist veterinarians in various procedures and provides opportunities for careers in the field of veterinary research and medicine.

Accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities, it covers typical vet tech responsibilities, such as:

• Obtain and record information about patient cases
• Prepare animals for medical and surgical procedures
• Obtain specimens
• Perform lab procedures
• Administer first aid, such as apply splits and bandages
• Assist with anesthesia and surgery

The curriculum requires 55 total credit hours and features major courses, such as:
